Those little wings flapping
In far far away worlds of a butterfly:
They could have changed the kinematics of the planet
And the dynamics of the air in its sky;
Which could have triggered me 'write this piece
Rather than read a book,
Or the failure in Mandela's health
And the carnage in Sandy Hook.
Or the sudden upsurge of wealth in China
While Europe in austerity woes,
Or the long-winding plunge in wars
Of Middle Eastern sectarian foes.
More than just a beautiful insect
The butterfly on the next flower,
It makes more other flowers to blossom
That call for more rain-shower.
It makes the oceans dry,
Or swell up in tide,
And orders the stars to shine
Or the galaxies to collide.
This legendary butterfly
With colorful wings that flutter,
May it make more chaos and order
Than make its own bread and butter?
