This world of ours, silly and bizarre,
It takes me oft, deep and far...
In bewilderment, oft in rage,
Unfailingly, all my age!
T'is unfair for all I know,
And more complex than need be,
A chilly grave for the innocent,
A warm lovely home for the greedy.
So in this mad and bizarre world,
Where calm and logic have no say,
Where the downers outnumber,
And the incompetent far outweigh;
For a world that seeks no love,
Nor understanding but blind revenge,
Why should I care alone in vain,
And effect no goodly change?
And endure the bizarre pain?!
It takes me oft, deep and far...
In bewilderment, oft in rage,
Unfailingly, all my age!
T'is unfair for all I know,
And more complex than need be,
A chilly grave for the innocent,
A warm lovely home for the greedy.
So in this mad and bizarre world,
Where calm and logic have no say,
Where the downers outnumber,
And the incompetent far outweigh;
For a world that seeks no love,
Nor understanding but blind revenge,
Why should I care alone in vain,
And effect no goodly change?
And endure the bizarre pain?!
