The Plight of Gaza

The plight of Gaza, falling on deaf ears,
For months and days, decades and years.
How cruel a man can be to another?
The children of Gaza know it too well:
The ones that survive the guns,
And the ones in many a cell!
Day after day, year after year,
Living in fear;
Bleeding within and without,
In that long tunnel of hopelessness,
With no end in sight,
To this bloody fight.
Galore the talk-shops of condemnations
And the recalls of ambassadors,
For a few days of consultations...
Then things go back full circle,
Day after day, year after year,
The forgotten of Gaza living in fear;
With no end in sight,
To this bloody fight!
With every man and nation,
Decrying this aggression
By those with the might,
Deemed an anti-Semite.
But history never forgets:
The determination of the oppressed...
It never dies 'till all mankind is free,
Of blind racism and bland bigotry...
