C'est la vie [3]

It matters not a little
To resent, fuss or fret;
Life is a fluke for its most,
Not a cut-and-dried fate.
When “luck”  turns its back,
When the going gets aghast,
If the present seems bleak,
Live the future, leave the past.

Utopia [2]

I want to form a human nation
With no bureaucratic wall,
I want it have no borders that bar,
And welcomes all,
From near or far.
I want it be a place of peace
But a great nemesis of war;
I want it be a gallery of love,
And human respect to its core.
I want this, world I call,
Be a place of human life,
That welcomes each and all,
And devoid of strife.
I want it have its people
See all sections of humanity,
Irrespective of their "kind",
With equal value and dignity.

Money

A weapon for the wealthy kind,
To rule the world by pocket might,
A miserly soul’s day-long dream,
To avoid squatting the road at night;
It’s the one thing that divides,
Men of equal humanly birth,
Spoiling one in richesse,
The other, in mortal dearth.
It’s the one big enemy of man,
And the one big friend of same,
It spurs forth the agile,
And down treads the lame.

Humanity: a self-inflicted mess

Hefty problems, all man-made
Heaping one upon another;
Diminish the stakes of life,
And make one a happy loather!
[And  force one to wonder:
Why, after all, bother?]

The Ubuntu Manifesto

Call to humanity, each and all:
United we grow, divided we fall;
To those in need, we know we care
The little we have when we share.
A louder call to those who heed:
We know too well the evil seed;
To do all away with greed,
Is the collective action we need.

The astronomer in love

Love me, be free
Dance with the stars,
Love knows no rules
And fears no scars.
Allow me to be
In love with thee
'Hold your hands at night,
Let the moons gaze in awe,
And smile the stars  in 'light.
Let the barriers of love tremble
And the galaxies shrink in fear,
So love speaks loud and free,
And the universe  bring us near.

Abused to death?

The world lives its life in all its glory:
Parents,  friends and enemies, all,
So should you and I keep in the court
The grip on our playing ball.
For the world abuses to death
Pretending only to care,
Why should we forego the life we love,
Succumbing to their scare?

On zeros and heroes

A plain fact we should all know:
Someone's hero is another's foe;
And so I heard when 'heroes' die
Some delight in others' cry.
Man rejoices in human pain,
The world is fool, and more so, vain.

On fire and ice

I'm a human fully aware,
The responsibilities I share;
With the world on fire,
Incapacitated by desire.
But I ain't  so sure,
If more fire's 'cure;
Or if  a block of ice
Would just suffice.

Challenge to the devious god

Did the omni-god, who could
Do all super-miracles, forget
To make the world a little more
Full of harmony than hate?
Did the omni-god not know
That all power in it lay,
To guard the "innocent" from evil,
And keep their enemies at bay?
How does an omni-god fail
To create humans less lame;
That don't suicide bomb,
All, in its greatness name?
Can the omni-god, for all it cares,
Present itself for those in need;
Without bias or grudge,
And irrespective of their creed?

Children of war

Once small children born out of war
Now big elephants in their turn
Fight senseless wars of their own
And the grass underneath, they burn.
Adult children given power
And a people to their care,
What more personal goals to achieve
Than leave nothing of both to spare?!

New!

Pendulum of a restless star,
A year shrinks down to a day,
And grows back year, after year,
In no anthropic sort of way.

A day shrinks to its hours
And grows back to its full
-Pendulum of a jerky planet
In an eccentric eternal pull.
