The Interview

Smiles, unhearty and unkind,
Cold questions for the go;
Dry formalities, to remind,
'N fake pleasantries for the ego.
All this and no sliver of chance,
For you to land the job;
That's been fixed in advance,
Let not your heart throb!
My friend unseen, my friend unheard,
You were only there as a stat filler;
I hate to break it to you,
Not as a finalist in a thriller!

Viva ad mortem!

Time and space, for me,
Are only tools for my mind's eye,
My physical body might be gone,
In your nows and 'morrows,
But my essence permeates all space,
My being, all of time,
My characters, all human race,
And my thoughts, all rhyme.
Your heres and nows,
Yesters and  theres,
These are but your abstractions,
My always and everywheres,
Spacetime distractions!

Away but here

Miles and miles apart,
Only in body and limb,
But inches and inches close,
In mind, heart and dream.
So far like the stars,
Yet like the cosmos so close,
Part me in every world,
Sweet in every dose!
I know not what, without thee,
My life would have looked,
But now forever and ever more,
