Illusions of grandeur

The most divided is human kind
Of nature's many a miniature force,
The most ambitious by any measure
In the pursuit of a grander course.
The wisest of all by one’s own claim,
‘Mankind is but a fleeting shadow,
With layers upon layers of greed,

And rocks of ignorance down below.
