The Meaning of Life

In some form of form or idea,
My  existence did predate,
This current stint on Earth,
As a semi-dictated state.
I was not consulted at conception,
And never was I told at birth;
Yet took the challenge with a cynical cry,
Of this chanceful life on earth.
Hard I worked since, day in day out,
A new journey started with a new plan,
To make my sojourn a happy one,
And keep me live for long I can.
I scrambled for meaning and goal,
And so long I lived, happy or sad;
Thankful of that fateful whole,
And never blaming mam and dad.
But that imminent collapse of life,
That other unknown, dictated state,
Keeps me heavy in the heart,
Questioning my lively fate.

Brickbats

Oh, fellow human, naïve and pure,
It was all in vain hard you fought;
For all the final things that  count,
Are not the goodies you brought;
But the little misdeeds in your name,
And nothing of which you thought.
If good you do for goodness' sake,
'Cos a good deed betters the bad;
Ignore the badmouth  in your back,
And the approvals you never had.

Tempus fugit [2]

Many a time, so many a run
How many times have I done,
All for life's only sake,
How many of these a mistake?
What is but life than living,
What is it in life too bad,
Isn't what is than what is not
The life that we have had?
There are no mistakes in life
I hear, only errors to mend
The paths that take to life
And keep  as far its end.
