Slaves of Faith

Obsession with mystic kingdoms,
So much unknown powers of the unknown;
Power that, if history has anything to show,
Has only dragged mankind down;
Down to an all-time logical low;
Plays as the sole leading catalyst of hate;
And in the worst of possible worlds,
A deciding power of humanity's fate.
Wars and censorships all over, destructions of life for creed,
Is this what it entails for sainthood,
Is this what the 'advanced species' of ours does need?
Is this what the unknown unknowns teach,
In the 'sacred' books of wisdom and love?
As entrance certificates of faithfulness,
To the masters at the gates of heavens above?
