Why, Syria?

We have all blood in our hands,
For the inaction in Syria;
For the unforgivable tolls,
And the unbearable mass hysteria.
This is ludicrous, fellow citizens of the globe,
We could have stopped this today,
If, in free will, all acted at once,
And thrashed the narcissistic power play.
Double standards, hypocritical fanfare,
Meetings and talks across nations;
Can we drop them now, for humanity's sake,
And convert them into actions?
Press releases that save no child,
Rhetorics of Realpolitik for a later date,
There are audiences to save for now,
And the unravelling of the Syrian fate.
